The Brief

To identify and understand the organization's  requirements, while maintaining a strong association with the parent brand (University of Glasgow) , and ultimately design a brand and a platform for new clients, students as well as employees to efficiently access and understand all solutions that the organization has to offer in an attractive yet comprehensive way.

The Goal

To reinvent the brand and make it current, modem and appealing to a wider range of clients as well as interested students.

The Process

Ideation and Prototyping

The ideation was done by having several client meetings to understand the requirements of the brand. Based on that main features were defines and similar products and designs were explored. With those findings a rough wireframe was created, and then a low fidelity design was designed in Figma. The finished product was to be made in WordPress, and hence the High fidelity design was created directly on the platform.

Design and User Testing

The website was designed entirely in WordPress. All of the images, logos and illustrations were custom made. Custom Templates were created for easy content manipulation for site administrators. After the design was complete, it was soft launched for user testing (as shown below), the feedback was collected, analyzed and categorized, and based on the collected data,  improvements were made.

Brand Identity

The client needed a new brand identity, but wanted it to stick to the University origin. It had to be modern, yet academic, and had to convey that this organization supports new talent.
